Recreational Renaissance - Plan B - Back to Basics Update

Friday, August 7, 2009 4:15 PM

From:

Aloha,

As you know we’ve been working on a “Plan B” so we can take care of our state recreational places.  Thanks for your patience!

We have developed our Recreational Renaissance “Plan B – Back to Basics” which will be presented before the Board of Land and Natural Resources on Friday, August 14, 2009.

At this meeting, we’ll be asking for approval to move forward with critical components of “Plan B – Back to Basics” that need Board approval.

We invite you to review the concepts of this plan at:

http://hawaii.gov/dlnr/chair/meeting/submittals/090814/H-Submittals-CO-1.PDF

and the full submittal at:  http://hawaii.gov/dlnr/chair/meeting/submittals/090814

Many of you submitted support at the legislature and we’re asking for your support again at the Board meeting.

You can attend the meeting and present testimony on the day of the Land Board meeting or if you can’t make it in person, e-mail us testimony at the link below.

Written testimony may be submitted in one of the following ways:

fax:       (808) 587-0390  Attn: Board Members

                  e-mail:  Board Secretary        adaline.f.cummings@hawaii.gov

mail:     Department of Land and Natural Resources
                              Attn:  Board Members
